Ask for Riley in shoes she is very helpful. She helped me find my new pair of hiking boots. Excited to put many miles on them. She was patient detail oriented very knowledgeable and kind. A great place to shop.

Interesting how a lot of these reviews from other people are about how great the staff is. Well unfortunately they just laid off another big round of great employees in addition to the 14 who were laid off 7 months ago. If you shop here and don’t have the same experience you are used to, it’s probably because they fired all the best employees! Just keep that in mind when you decide to spend your money and support big box retailers such as this one. Spend your money at smaller retailers and bike shops instead. A lot of really great smaller bike shops exist in Philadelphia.

I have recently had a few great shopping experiences at this location. I would like to personally thank Jeffery, who works in the shoe department, for his patience and knowledge about the footware the store sells/carries. Jeffery was very friendly and cared about what I needed. Thanks for being a great store with awesome employees.

I always go to this REI. There's a great selection and the staff is really helpful. What finally got me to write a review is that I came in with some mountaineering boots that I had bought online and that did not seem to fit me well. After I'd already returned them, I ended up talking with one of the boot fitting guys, Erik, and he helped me deal with adjusting them properly and even how to mold the boots themselves to my foot (I wear US size 14 so it is quite difficult for me to find boots). Seriously, this guy helped me out for over 30 min. Thanks Erik!!

Always a great experience. I've never had any bad experiences at this or any other REI location. The employees here are super knowledgeable, eager to help, and all around nice people. I'm disappointed that the Used Store had to close, but that wasn't an REI issue! :)

Very helpful workers who go above and beyond BUT this week I bought a tent (4 person NEMO car camping tent) at full price to find grass it in when I opened it for the first time. I remember when I checked out, it also didn’t have a magnetic tag attached to keep people from stealing it (probably bc it was already sold and the tag was removed previously). After my first use, my sister and I are covered in bed bug bites. It seems like we got used infested gear sold to us as new gear :(

I liked the store and all and everything on display, they sell electric bikes, mountain bikes, full suspension bikes, camping stuff, hiking stuff, snacks, and more. However I didn't like the fact that most of the stuff was expensive and how there was a long line when I wanted to checkout. The staff members were very nice so 4/5 stars. (And yes they do have a lot of discounts)
